Time to Change: Demonstrating the Change
European crop protection industry reflects on what it takes to demonstrate change
In this fourth instalment of interviews recorded during the ‘Hungry for Change’ conference and exhibition, industry representatives and stakeholders reflect on crop protection industry vision for change, and what it will take to demonstrate change to those critical of the industry.
This clip sees industry representatives stress the value of work that has been (and continues to be) delivered, and acknowledge that the ‘Time to Change’ initiative represents a new opportunity to communicate the positive work that has been done, and together as an industry accelerate contribution to a sustainable agricultural future.
Industry recognition of the importance of listening to society and stakeholders in order to improve the delivery of products and services is clear; and, so too is stakeholder demand that the words associated with the 'Time to Change' initiative be converted into actions.
This video features Martin May, IVA; Jean-Charles Bocquet, UIPP; Michal Fogg, PSOR, Lawrence King, Bayer; Paul Leonard, BASF; Hans Mattaar, Pappas and Associates; Tim Benton, University of Leads; and, Tom McHale, DuPont.
The ‘Hungry for Change’ conference and exhibition (Brussels, 10.11.2011) unveiled a new direction for European Crop Protection (ECPA). The fruit of extensive critical evaluation of the performance and contribution of the pesticide industry, the initiative aims to deliver measurable results in the four thematic areas of safeguarding water, the enhancement of biodiversity, the provision of safe and affordable food and the protection of health.
