European crop protection industry seeks sustainable solutions to contemporary agricultural challenges

This video features Prof. Tim Benton, UK Champion for Global Food Security and Professor of Population Ecology, representatives from French, Polish and German national associations and BASF.

The ‘Hungry for Change’ conference and exhibition (Brussels, 10.11.2011) unveiled a new direction for European Crop Protection (ECPA). The fruit of extensive critical evaluation of the performance and contribution of the pesticide industry, the initiative aims to deliver measurable results in the four thematic areas of safeguarding water, the enhancement of biodiversity, the provision of safe and affordable food and the protection of health.
