Making sustainable agriculture real
Seminar sees European Parliament address benefits of conservation agriculture
On the 13th of January the European Parliament hosted the seminar “Making Sustainable Agriculture Real”; organised by MEPs Clara Aguilera and Nicola Caputo (S&D group) and gathering farmers from 7 member states - representative of over 3 million hectares of cropland under Conservation Agriculture in Europe - to share insights on the application and benefits of Conservation Agriculture practices. The event included presentation of the INSPIA project and heard Clara Aguilera, Vice-Chair of the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development (COMAGRI) call for the full integration of sustainable soil management practices incorporated into the future CAP.
