Facts versus feelings on food security

Last week, stakeholders and politicians converged at the European Parliament for the 7th European Innovation Summit.

The summit comes at a time when burdensome regulatory obstacles are seen by many as potential drivers for research, and investment in innovation leaving the EU. This implies costs for Europe’s place in the future global economy. And it is of increasing concern to Europe’s business community, which is becoming increasingly worried about emotion trumping science in areas such as food safety.
